At DSS we acquire excess and unused diabetic supplies so that we can get them to people who don’t have insurance. If you have excess supplies stuffed in a box in your closet, don’t let them expire and go to waste.
There are many people whose health, and even their lives, are at risk because they can not afford the tools to monitor their blood sugar. Anyone who lives with diabetes knows how dangerous this can be.
When you send your excess supplies to DSS, you will be helping some person, and maybe several people, re-gain control of their health.
By recycling, you may even save someone’s life.
Items we accept as donations:
Any other non-prescription diabetic supplies
What we can’t accept
Please pack your donated supplies in a box that will keep the supplies from being crushed or broken.
Send your package to
Diabetic Supply Salvation
839 Briarwood Blvd
Naples, FL 34104
DSS is a Florida Non-profit organization. We also have tax-exempt status with the IRS (501(c)3). We can give you a receipt for a tax deductible donation.
Should I remove my prescription labels?
We have methods of removing the labels that don’t damage the boxes. We will remove any of your personal information from any of the supplies we receive from you. If we shared your personal information with anyone, it would be against federal law.
Not only that it would just be wrong.
If you are uncomfortable sending out supplies with your name on them, mark through the personal information with a black, felt tip permanent marker. Please do not try to scratch it out or remove the label. Both of those activities may damage the box.
Where can I send my insulin?
We send a lot of items that are donated to us to Insulin For Life USA. They send these supplies to children living with diabetes in Third World countries. What they need more than anything else, and what DSS does not handle, is insulin.
For instructions on how to pack and ship the insulin to IFL, go to their web site at:
If you have any questions, please send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 239-253-5558.
DSS respects your privacy. DSS abides by the Health Information Privacy and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We will not release or sell your information without your permission.
And it should go without saying, but we will say it anyway: We will not share your e-mail address or other personal information with anyone without your permission, either.
